Tuesday, Week 4
Holme Reading Room

This will be another in the popular MiniMUN series. For new members, at MiniMUNs we take a pre-written resolution and debate it for about 1 ½ hours. These are relatively small affairs, where the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with the aim being to introduce novices to the way Model UN works while still providing an entertaining evening of quality debate for the more experienced members.

Success for Sydney at AMUNC

From July 2 - 5, a delegation from the Society took part in an intense and exciting week of debate at the Asia-Pacific Model UN Conference at the University of Auckland.

Sydney University students again made an outstanding contribution to committee proceedings, with the group winning the overall Best Delegation award. Additionally, 7 of the 11 Best Delegate awards went to Sydney Uni students, who were: Heather Marano (1st GA), Suzannah Morris (2nd GA), Christine Ernst (4th GA), Peter Yeldham (6th GA), Shipra Chordia (UNDP), Alim Khamis (ICJ) and Michael West (UNSC).
